Football stats / recap system

Does anyone have a good system for keeping play-by-play and running stats for high school football? I want to give my stringers something to use, but my system is so absolutely confusing to anyone other than myself I would be doing more harm than good if I shared it with them. I would appreciate any input or help.

I've got a stat sheet I made up on Excel ... you can print it out (use legal size paper), or its set up to keep running totals on your laptop ... send me a PM with your e-mail address, and I'll send it to you ...
