The headlock and punches were wonderful. One-sided, like grandpa kicking a kid's ass.

Kyle Farnsworth vs. the Reds in 2003.

I mostly like this one because I was at the game. I like it even more because I got home after the game, a replay of the game was on, and I could hear Steve Stone going absolutely crazy on Danny Graves for running his mouth from the dugout after he'd been scratched from the start.

I'd have to search YouTube, but I mostly remember Farnsworth just spearing some Reds player.

There was also that great Braves-Padres fight in the 1980s that started when Pascual Perez kept plunking guys. The best part was when Bob Horner, who was out with one of his many wrist injuries, came out of the dugout to stop Champ Summers from going after Perez. Horner had come down from the press box when everyone started throwing at everyone else just in case there was trouble.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any photos of that one through Google.

I believe it was Paul Wilson, and that brawl also gave us the colorful phrase, 'racky-tacked' courtesy of Stone.

The one in '87 after Eric Show beaned Andre Dawson at Wrigley. Show ran like a little ***** and the Cubs literally chased him into his own dugout ready to kick his ass. Dawson was down for a few minutes, then started toward the empty mound as soon as he got up.

I believe that was during Dawson's MVP season.

The Cubs had a pretty good one with the Mets in August of 1984 at Wrigley. Cubs torched Ed Lynch for five runs in the fourth inning in the second game of a doubleheader. He drills Keith Moreland with a pitch and away we go.

What made it memorable was that after the teams had been separated and returned to their dugouts, some of the Mets almost went into the stands after some fans behind their dugout. Cubs wound up sweeping the doubleheader and the series and pretty much buried the Mets.

Damn, I'd forgotten how good that one was. Let's go to the video...

Let's tally the numbers: three hit batsmen and the three failed attempts by the Padres to hit Perez led to the benches clearing in the second, fifth, eighth, and nine innings. Thirteen players and both managers—yes, even the Braves' saintly manager, Joe Torre—were ejected. Five fans who joined the fun were arrested. Eleven players and both managers were fined. Four players received suspensions. Torre was suspended for three games. Padres manager **** Williams was fined $10,000 and given a 10-day suspension. It all resulted in an extremely coy box score and play-by-play description.

Yeah I can't think of one better than Braves-Padres.

Reds-Cardinals a couple years back, with Johnny Cueto launching a flying kick and Brandon Phillips calling the Cardinals "little *******," was pretty good.

When one of the players winds up topless at the end of the fight, that's pretty tough to beat.

This was a classic. White Sox and Tigers in 2000. I was in the outfield bleachers and 10 seconds before the pitch that started the brawl I told my wife to pay attention because there was going to be a brawl soon. Then, bang, it was on:

This Blue Jays fan remembers George Bell charging the Red Sox' Bruce Kison in 1985 and getting him with a drop kick to the stomach.

Speaking of kicking, here's Pat Corrales and Dave Stewart: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WtoZimFZH4

Also, I posted this on the Don Zimmer thread, but here's the Reds and Cubs from '84 that showed Mario Soto go loco: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAhzFOBKrE8
