I read this every six months or so just to remind myself how fortunate I have been and how unfortunate "Dixon" and Nick DeLeonibus once were.

That wasn't unfortunate. It was a stupid thing to do.

Typos happen and sometimes get through. But that wasn't an error; it was DeLeonibus doing something incredibly moronic and his boss not catching it.

Always treat your copy like a loaded gun. My boss at the time put a joke headline on a story and it went out online. He was lucky not to get fired.
