I don't know where management pounded it in our head that wanting to make more money is somehow a bad thing. Probably another cost-cutting strategy of theirs.

I will say this...I wasn't all about money when I started in sports journalism. But now? Now I am, and I'm not apologizing for it.

I don't need a promotion. Just a pay raise.
Schieza will be fine and with one of our awful co-workers on vacation this week, we're going to show them how it's entirely possible to do more than layout in the editor's 40-hour work week.
