Let's hope this one goes a wee-bit better than the last one.

Who would have thought KU @ KSU would be the best Big 12 Game this week? Red River Shootout is a little less meaningful.

It's not. There's a little game going on in Columbia.

Wednesday Night College Football ... ain't America grand?

Who plays tonight? I was glad to see Memphis win last night.

Never mind, I see it's Southern Miss and Rice. Hard to get excited about watching that one -- thank goodness for playoff baseball.

A sampling of this week's menu.

#8 Kentucky @ #11 South Carolina--Is Woodson for real?

#12 Georgia @ Tennessee--Dogs lose in Knoxville.

#15 Va. Tech @ #22 Clemson--First team to 14 wins.

#9 Florida @ #1 LSU--Baton Rouge...at night....no chance for UF.

#4 Ohio St. @ #23 Purdue--OSU big.

#25 Nebraska @ #17 Missouri--Defense optional.

Kansas @ #24 Kansas St.--Since Mangino went to the Bill Snyder scheduling academy, this will be his first "test" of the season.

Oklahoma State-Texas A&M holds some interest as well but not necessarily from a football standpoint.

South Carolina 7, Kentucky 3. Late first quarter.

The Gamecocks had a Leon Lett moment early, but they got the touchdown right after that when they forced a Kentucky fumble and covered it in the end zone.

Dogs and Richt ALMOST never lose in Knoxville. With the exception of Jacksonville, Dogs and Richt never lose on the road.

Dear Chicken Fans,

Haven't we been through this enough? It's too early to be chanting "overrated". Waaaaaay too early.

Spurrier's comments this week on Richt's road record not including Jacksonville were priceless.

Give them points for always being there to back the team. But no one said they were the sharpest knives in the drawer ...

Hold on. Wait a minute. So Kentucky's not really the eighth best team in the country?

I'll be damned.

Not.

I think he truly found a home in South Carolina. He really is a ****.

Then again, I'm not sure the Cocks are among the top 15, either.

I saw Smelley play baseball in high school. Helluva hitter and a damn good catcher.
