I just got some news that I've been waiting on for two years.

I just got an e-mail from the Army's Medical Service Corps, and I have been selected into the Army's Aeromedical Evacuation Officer program.

I should start flight school sometime around January.

PUMPED doesn't begin to describe what I'm feeling now.

Congrats! So TBF, what does this mean for your pending deployment?

Great, 3bags.

So will you be flying planes/choppers or helping to transport the folks?

Not going. As of today, I'm no longer assigned to 3rd ID.

Is flight school near home? Because by my count, that should be Mrs. 3bags' eighth month. Would hate for you to miss the final days and the birth.

But congrats!

She will be there, too.

TBF,
Congrats on both chunks of good news this week. You really should go play the ponies or something.

My brother is a pilot (first Blackhawks, now some kind of jet) and I'm jealous of all the cool places he gets to go - Baghdad notwithstanding.

Congratulations and good luck. Stay safe and help protect our guys and gals over there. Much respect and support from this sj poster.

I'll be flying Blackhawks.

I heard second-hand about your additional good news from Stickboy (inside joke).

For the second time this week, hearty congrats.

Oh, come on.

Special occasion.
