Fox has the selection show in a little less than two hours. Some matchups are already public knowledge.

Oklahoma vs. Florida for the BCS national championship? By now, the schools know, I'm all but certain.

Any surprises coming?

Will there be enough of a controversy this year to prompt changes in the offseason?

Will Fox do a passable job of discussing college football tonight?

Spoilers encouraged.

Nebraska-Clemson in the Gator.

Probably going to go pretty much to form.

Rose: USC-Penn State
Fiesta: Texas-Ohio State
Sugar: Alabama-Utah
Orange: Cincinnati-Virginia Tech
BCS title game: Oklahoma-Florida.

All the whisperings have Iowa jumping Northwestern and playing South Carolina in the Outback.

True, we just got word here.

Ole Miss-Texas Tech in the Cotton Bowl could be interesting.

And while the Orange Bowl has little appeal nationally, it should be a competitive game at least.

Rose Bowl will be good, too.

BYU-Arizona in the Las Vegas Bowl.
Missouri to the Alamo Bowl, likely against Northwestern
Connecticut-Buffalo in the International Bowl

Air Force-Houston in the Armed Services Bowl, which is a rematch from earlier this year (Air Force won, but the game was moved to Dallas after Hurricane Ike.)

South Florida vs. Memphis in the magicJack.com St. Petersburg Bowl.

Not that anyone should give a ****.

Vanderbilt gets to stay home, going to the Music City Bowl to face Boston College

If Nevada is playing in Boise, I guess it's going to be Boise-TCU in the Poinsettia (figuring they get screwed out of the BCS). And figure Bobby Lowder will buy a ticket to the Cotton Bowl.
I liked the mythical matchups ESPN.com did for bowl games that have since passed. Maryland-Kansas in the Salad Bowl was my particular favorite.

And staging the "Journalism Bowl" at the Alamo I guess is particularly appropriate.

Figure Okie State v. Oregon in the Holiday.

Is it just me or do bowls seem to be trying to keep local teams close. Smart move.

Cal looks to be playing across the Bay at the Emerald Bowl v. ACC to be announced.
