****er has a daughter and didn't tell me. I am transferring my affections elsewhere!

This is worse than when Jake left me for a cheerleader!

Bode Miller says he has 1-year-old daughter

SAN DIEGO — Bode Miller announced on a Web site he has a 1-year-old daughter, and took her to Disneyland during his break from the World Cup ski circuit.

The 31-year-old American confirmed reports that emerged in Austria this week.

“I was not trying to keep it a secret. If someone asked, I would talk about it but no one ever really brought it up,” Miller wrote on his journal on Universalsports.com Friday. “I don’t mind sharing a little bit but I like to keep my private life private for the most part.

“My daughter’s name is Neesyn Dacey but everyone calls her Dacey. Her mom chose Neesyn and I chose Dacey after she was born. The mother is a good friend of mine who I was seeing a while ago. We are no longer together.”

Neesyn Dacey? Can't anyone give their kids a decent name anymore?

When you are on the main page, the only part of this topic that shows up is: "Bode Miller is dead "

It's a bit disturbing.

I think I found a new place for your affections!

I'm naming my first-born Dimebag. I don't care if it's a boy or a girl.

And that wouldn't even be in the top 100 of awful baby names these days.

Why would you take a 1-year-old to Disneyland?
And Doc, Dimebag is the most versatile of names. Outstanding.

Agreed.

I have to say, the Dead. To. Sportschick. Club seems like a pretty cool group of people to hang out with.

Oh, I've been in it for a while. I might be the secretary/treasurer or something.

Not now that you're in it.

Good to know you've finally seen the light, chickie.

Bode Miller, long before being Dead. To. Sportschick. was irrelevant to most people.

Again, the defending World Cup Champion is only irrelevant to you because people in the New York area think they they determine relevancy. To the parts of the country where skiing is huge, Bode remains very relevant. Baseball, however, isn't.

See, I get that there's parts of the country where skiing is big. I live in one of them, at least sort of. But what the hell has the guy done this year, other than all but admit he's washed up?

Shouldn't we be paying attention to, say, Lindsey Vonn?
