Mrs. TBF and I just popped in A Christmas Story.

Black Bart's gang is now in a big pile in the back yard with xes on their eyes.

And the Old Man is now battling the furnace.

I love this time of year.

Let me know when you get to the scene at

That movie is an American treasure.

We're currently sharpening our "What I Want For Christmas" theme.

Rarely have the words poured from my pencil with souch feverish fluidity.

This time of year? What -- mid-November? Since when is A Christmas Story set in the middle of November???

Don't succumb to the marketing hype of Christmas! Fight it off for at least until Friday!!!!

Someone had questioned the wording of my new sig, so I had to pop in the DVD to make sure I was right.

Since it was already in, we decided to watch it.

"Next to me in the blackness lay my oiled blue steel beauty. The greatest Christmas gift I had ever received, or would ever receive. Gradually, I drifted off to sleep, pringing ducks on the wing and getting off spectacular hip shots."

That is fantabulous.

I used to go to that Higbee's to see Santa. Good ol' Cleveland.
