A new study shows that beer koozies do keep beer colder but not so much because of the insulation but because it prevents condensation

Used to be able to say this...but it's not true anymore: Good beer doesn't come in cans.

I'm not a bottle or can drinker...I pour into a cold glass.

So...Mini Ditka?

I swear by beer koozies at home because of answer A and never use them in public because of answer C.

I'm too lazy to wash pint glasses, so I usually drink from a bottle or can because it's easier.

Sam Adams is about to finally release their lager in cans.
Yup, hence why I said "used to"...Keweenaw Brewing Company does as well. They actually only sell cans in stores.

How long do you people nurse a beer that you need a koozie to keep it cold?

He's right.

Also, if you hold a bottle on the neck, and not at the base, it will stay colder longer. Your hand warms up the liquid faster than anything else.

As an aside - if it it the prevention of condensation that is keeping the beer from getting warm - wouldn't a paper towel or napkin do the same trick?

I have a stoneware mug. I keep it in the fridge, so it's cold but not frosted.
It doesn't get washed like regular kitchenware. It gets rinsed out with warm water and a scrunge, no soap, when I'm done using it, and it goes back in the fridge.

I don't care what kind of beer I'm drinking; I want it cold. Doesn't have to be in a frosty mug, but I certainly won't turn it down if it is. Just as long as it's cold.
