My only comment on the avatars is, I wish Ragu knew some happy kids. His avatars break my heart.

The pictures broke my heart at first, but after a while I started to see the world in those kids (it's a series of photos). Worst thing about the photos is how she got them to cry. She promised them candy, showed them the candy. ...and then told them they couldn't have it. Then when they started to cry, she began snapping pictures.

That's heartbreakingly cruel.

That's tame compared to what Bob Ezrin did to his kids while producing Lou Reed's Berlin album. The album tells the story of a couple's relationship from romance to doom and gloom. The track "Kids" tells about the woman having her children taken away from her. There's a moment in the song where you hear children crying intensely and calling for their mother.

The children on the track are Bob Ezrin's daughter and son. To elicit realistic performances from his children he told them their mother was leaving and would never see them again. He then put them in a closet and committed their highly emotional reaction to tape for use on the album.

Ugh. That makes ripping off the kids who sang on "Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)" seem tame.
