For the second time in three weeks, my phone has buzzed/rang, with my own number on the caller ID.

I've answered both times, but thankfully, nobody has answered. Has anybody else experienced this phenomenon? Am I nucking futs? Should I check myself into a certified mental institution?

Why is my phone calling me?

Maybe it's like the movie coming out about getting a call with the sound of your own death.

In all actuality, it's probably something messed up with your phone company.

This guy was trying to get a hold of you:

I've had that happen to me, except I apparently page myself.

So not only am I calling myself, I'm expected to call myself back.

It's bizarro doubledown68. He's trapped in some kind of space warp continuum and he's trying to warn you about the future.

Either that or you're clinically insane.

You mean you didn't hear my heavy breathing, doubledown?

That's right. It was me. Or should I say ... it was ... you?

Great, now we've got two doubledowns in this thread.

I'm getting the hell out of here.

"That's crazy."
"IS IT? OR IS IT SO SANE, YOU JUST BLEW YOUR MIND?!"

The recent weather round these parts does suggest something apocoliptic (sic?) going on. Thursday was 8 in of snow. Yesterday was 50 degrees, which caused a thick, dangerous fog. The fog gave way to a deluge, which is still ongoing as I speak.

I am not, however, insane. I double checked the call received log... last one I got was me.

Whaddya know... Someone gave you a quarter to call someone who cared and you came up withthe one person to come through -- I think.

I usually just shove my cell phone in my pocket because I have no style. The other day, I was walking around the house when the landline phone rings. My daughter answers it, looks at the caller ID, hands it to me and says, "It's you."

Then I get the teenage eyeroll.

I love having no style.
