@Batman brought this up on the NBA thread and we had a good bit of discussion, but it seems wrong to interrupt the Knicks jubilation over there.

82-0 — Can Your All-Time NBA Roster Go Undefeated?

You pick a starting five to try and have a perfect season. Each round randomly gives you a team and a decade from the 60s through the present. You get one re-spin for each category. Deceptively simple but addicting.

I am in no way sharing just because I finally got my first perfect team.

Getting almost any Lakers team is a gift. Especially the 60s, who have a guy for every position, or the 2020s where Luka and LeBron can be put almost everywhere.

Then there are some franchises that I just groan when they come up, because there just isn't a good player from any era. The Pacers are just awful. No elite players from any decade, for this game at least, and only a couple that are even passable.

Is it possible to have the same guy twice? Or does the algorithm prevent it?

Like could you have 2010s LeBron from the Heat and put him at point guard, and then get 2020s Lakers and put LeBron at small forward?
It hasn't happened to me yet, so I'm wondering if the game has a thing that prevents it.

I got 147-15 on my first try -- baseball feels a lot tougher since it includes non major-league teams and you can't move guys to other positions after you pick one for them
First try for me: 154-8. Clearly should be marked with a Ford Frick asterisk.

C: Fisk
1B: Goldschmidt
2B: Jerry Benjamin (Homestead Grays)
SS: Jeter (Hi Manky!)
3B: Matt Williams
LF: Frank Robinson
CF: Cool Papa Bell
RF: Mantle
DH: Lee Thomas (60s Angels, my last pick)

Yeah I've had the same teams twice. I've ended up with World B Free twice

Got a 161-1!

C: John Beckwith (1920s-era Negro Leaguer)
1B: Edgar Martinez
2B: Billy (Get A Job You ..) Moran (Angels guy in the 60s who I’ve never heard of)
SS: Bregman
3B: Nettles
LF: The Babe
CF: Puckett
RF: Kaline
DH: Bill Riggins (another 1920s-era Negro Leaguer).

Clearly, Moran was the cause of my one loss.
