Did anyone watch last night?
What a debacle.
Metallica with Lady Gaga......Hetfield's mic didn't work the first half of the song.
Adele did the tribute song to George Michael, then halfway through the song, screws up and has to start over.

I watched a bunch of it, and it was a ****show. Adele made the boring-ass George Michael tribute about herself, and doubled down when she later apologized again during her acceptance speech. Terrible. Be a professional and keep singing. "I can't mess this up for him." JFC (vigorous jacking off gesture).

Bruno Mars tribute to Prince was superior in every way to Adele.

Busta Rhymes and A Tribe Called Quest absolutely slayed. Highlight of the night for me.

Gary Clark, Jr. and William Bell were great. Clark is such a badass player...

The headbangers and the pyro in the Metallica thing were ridiculous. Hetfield's mic issue overshadowed what I thought was a pretty good rip through that song.

Agreed on Clark and Bell. They were awesome.

I watched for about 90 minutes and got bored. Will go back and watch the Metallica and Michael things on DVR.

I did enjoy the Prince tribute.

I had no idea what Beyonce was doing in her performance but I'm sure that everyone thought it was fantastic.

The open was absolutely terrible. Esquire must be rethinking their cover story on this guy.

Adele stopping and re-starting was tremendous. Just added to her aura of actually, you know, being something more than a machine. She left that with more fans than she began with.

And yes, Bruno was stunning.

The Queen B, on the other hand ... I don't quite get that as much as others.

Sturgill, Bell and Clark and Chance The Rapper were the highlights to me.

Why did they do a Bee Gees tribute? And why didn't they do a Merle Haggard one?
Agreed on all three. Chance was excellent, and Sturgill, Bell and Clark were all new to me. I've never heard any of their music, but now I'm interested in hearing more.

Oh, and Katy Perry was terrible.

I'm not sure you're allowed on Twitter to say you didn't like Beyonce's performance.

It took 50 people to make her costume. 50.

At the end, Adele's up there apologizing for winning.

The amount of ass-kissing people do for the sake of Beyonce's apparently fragile ego blows me away.

Listen to Sturgill Simpson's whole album sometime. I'll say this for him: He's trying to do something different. "Angry country," or something. He has no time for pop country.

I didn't mind that Adele needed a do-over. Rather have it good the second time than crappy the only time.
That gospel sort of thing near the end, I wondered if they were all singing the same song. Sounded like Songs Gone Wild.
The whole production was pretty shoddy.
