The first two games of the ALDS are always critical. The home teams (higher seeds) are starting their studs against the back of the order/committee of the visiting teams. The Dodgers of course, have a little-used guy by the name of Ohtani they can throw out there. Must be tough.

And if they do, it's possible Crochet becomes so good that it doesn't matter. especially if the White Sox continue to pee pee around. Nationals got A HAUL for Juan Soto, but they have not stopped dicking around and they're now on the back end of the time they're gonna have with Gore and the clock is ticking on Wood. Do you trust the White Sox to a.) have completely nailed this trade and b.) actually compete for a championship during those players' pre-free agency window?

***you can say dicking around but dropping the current tense is not allowed, what a dumb pee pee thing
Whether the White Sox as a whole do anything with the players while the players succeed has nothing to do with the value of the trade. The trade is set. Compare the players' performances, not whether one organization utilizes the performances better.

I wasn't looking past the quality of the players they got in return, not what they will build around them. Just because they got decent value for Crochet doesn't mean they will build much of anything.

White Sox have already done well in getting two everyday players within a year of the trade. As someone noted, look at the "haul" the Tigers got for Verlander. If anything, that set back their rebuild. I don't trust the White Sox to do anything to build off this trade, but they at least did a good job of maximizing Crochet once they decided to trade him.

Missed this when replying to justgladtobehere. Another fine perk of this "upgraded" place. Yes we are in agreement here. And not much else let's argue and see what gets someone banned here under our new lords and saviors!

How can we get banned? We can't even ****ing curse?

Wait. This is new. Did they change how the site handles profanity?

****. ****. ****. ****. Asshole. Prick. Dickhead. (That last one's for BYH)

Just testing to see what the site does with those words. Looks like the silly replacement words are gone and the site is just replacing the naughty words with asterisks. ****ers.

Somewhere, Ford Frick is cheering.

To be honest, there are times when I wonder if the White Sox should be contracted.
If that was going to happen, it would have been in the 1970s or 80s, when attendance at Comiskey Park was at its nadir (and several attempts to move the team were floated/nearly happened).

How delusional are we White Sox fans? More than 1.4 million paid their way in to see a team that set a record in futility last season and wasn't much better in 2025. It make it easy to forget that only four years ago, the South Siders had back-to-back postseason appearances.

Will Smith with the big hit in Philly. Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air indeed.

So I was making dinner in the kitchen when the Phillies scored three runs in the second Saturday night. I have not seen them score in this series. I have not seen them get an extra-base hit.
