2012 the novel

Anyone read it yet? Written by Whitley Streiber, who has internet and radio projects going on with Art Bell, so pretty sure he's nutty as a loon. But I had wondered, before I read one of Streiber's other books, was Stephen King normal?

There were a few times when I got lost in the New Age/Extraterrestrial/Parallel Universe stuff, but it was entertaining and I polished it off in three afternoons at the beach. Some parts were scary as hell. Might make an interesting movie.

Any thoughts.

The guy is bat****, and the difference between King and him is that King knows he's writing fiction. That said, if he's into fiction now then he's got a lot of imagination to work with to churn out something good.
