Greinke will be first pitcher to start 3 consecutive games in same MLB season since White Sox's Red Faber in 1917 (Elias).

Braves rookie Andrelton Simmons — who might already be the best defensive shortstop in the NL, if not the majors — broke his right hand diving into second base today. That sucks.

It's not a broken hand. It's one of the bones in the pinkie finger.

At least that's the only injury news I've seen.

I'm not too cool with that, either ... and it was homers both Saturday and Sunday.

He did say the right things, FWIW. Said it was a group decision after a few days of discussions with the Nats' medical staff, La Russa and Davey.
