Ketchup, mustard and relish, in that order from bottom to top. Raw diced onions if they're available.
If I'm making them at home and have all the ingredients, I like to mix the onions, relish and maybe a smidge of diced jalapenos into a small mixing bowl and then layer it on atop the ketchup and mustard.

Ketchup, mustard, relish and maybe onion.

On a brat or other sausage, just mustard.

One of my wife's ex-bosses (a dentist) said that at the butcher shop, at the end of the day, they sweep up the floor and use that to make the hot dogs.

Question: How many anti-vaxers, who claim they don't want it because they don't know what's in it, eat hot dogs and buy gas?

If they are ingesting gas, I think they have more to worry about than corona.

Also, there are people, vaxers, antivaxers, meat eaters, vegans, pro or anti gluten-free who don’t buy gas?

The point is, they are buying something and they don't know what's in it. Bad example, but valid.

Never boiled…

Unless you have properly pre-salted the water.

I am a hotdog man to the core.
There are several variations, depending mainly on what is available at the time and place, but don't stray.:
Group 1 - mix as available
Mustard, chili, onions, slaw
Group 2
Sauerkraut, mustard

As with burgers, the proportions have to be correct. You have to be able to pick it up and eat it without getting it all over your face or spilling it on your shirt. I like a Chicago dog, but it's too unwieldy to eat.

For a plain hot dog, it's just mustard for me most of the time, although I've stuck a halved tomato slice in there from time to time, and maybe bacon or bacon bits when available.

Of course, I like a good chili dog too, with mustard and cheese.
