Who is the best game show host of all time?

My personal favorite is Ray Combs, of Family Feud. But, probably the best I've ever seen is Wheel of Fortune's Pat Sajak; he's witty, quick and extremely nice to all the guests.

Press Your Luck's Peter Tomarken was indeed stellar, too.

Careful with the thread title; thought for a sec that it was an obit. Anyhoo, Barker is in a class by himself. I guess best host other than that would be Bill Cullen or Richard Dawson, but best game show guest, celebrity division, would hafta be Nipsey Russell.

Another vote for Richard Dawson ... he was great on Family Feud and then elevated himself to god-like status with his appearance in The Running Man.

I'll throw out a vote for Jim Perry who kicked ass on Canadian game shows (with lame-o prizes like pen sets and venetian blinds) like Headline Hunters, Eye Bet and Definition before getting on Sale Of The Century.

I'm actually not a big metal fan. I do enjoy Jethro Tull, however. Although, it's been about five years since I've jammed out to Aqualung.

I love the old "Family Feud," and Combs was the first one I saw. I always liked his self-deprecating humor. Of course, then he hanged himself. Perhaps there were signs. ...

I was referring to Tull absurdly winning the first Metal Grammy. And Jim Perry was awesome on Card Sharks. Speaking of that, have to put Perry's successor, Bob Eubank, up there, too.
