KFC now has a new fish snacker. Hopefully, it won't taste like chicken but it brings up an interesting point. Aren't you tired of going into places that supposedly cater in one cusine but severs another? For example, going into a chinese restaurant and they serve fried chicken? What's up with that?

Hardee's/Carls Jr. is the worst offender. This Mexican phase that place is in ... ugh. How are they still open?

They do good biscuits. THEY should think about doing all-day breakfast.

I'm probably baiting the wrath of someone on this board, but I always felt the same way about McDonald's and their freaking McRib sandwich. You're a burger joint! And they're not even REAL ribs!

Whoa, whoa...blasphemer. Not real ribs? This is news to me.

Not real ribs as in there aren't bones.

Hardee's is in business because of its damn tasty burgers.

I have a few rules to live by when it comes to eating at restaurants, there are two that are absolute:

1. Never order fish at a steakhouse
2. Never order steak at a fish place

The McRib "supposedly" is pattied pork. And that's a great safety tip about ordering steak and fish. But I must admit, I've done surf and turf many times.

They do sell boneless spare ribs. I've made some pretty good pulled pork with that stuff.

Yeah, but McD's used boneless pork. Fine. Call it a McPorker or something else. But it's still not the same as REAL RIBS.

To each his own, I guess. Had Hardee's burgers since the "redesign" and they're alright, but ... eh.

And those are two quality life-long rules.

But if you called it the McPiggy everyone would think they're eating a muppet. That won't sell well.

This guy would be all over that

That's actually a pretty cool name for a muppet sandwich.

Banquet has a TV dinner (man I'm dating myself calling it that) which features a McRib type piece of meat. It's shaped the same way and tastes the same as a McRib. Gets the boots seal of approval.

This thread brings to mind those Japanese steak houses where they cook right in front of you. Went to one, got its version of Surf and Turf - "Splash and Meadow" - and a roiling stomach the following day.
