So where did your newspaper play the Tiger Woods saga?
We have played the whole thing in sports.
The first day (Sunday?) was a brief (Woods involved in car accident).
I don't think we had a story on Monday, but have had inside stories Tuesday, Wednesday and today.

What was that paper that didn't put Obama's election as president on the front page? What did they do with this story?

We put it on the bottom of the front, decision involved the fact that tiger is extremely famous, not just because he's an athlete, also from his endorsements, etc.

I think it got the front sports page on a slow local day last week, otherwise I don't think it's been mentioned much.

Maybe you could go out to the beer joints and see if any if the waitresses have slept with Tiger.

Localize the story, dammit!

Bottom of sports front first day, which was appropriate. Two sports front columns since, each pretty lame. An inside sports story every day.

But our 1A tease the first day --- "Wife rescues Tiger" or some bull**** variation of that headline --- made me cringe because it was obvious something smelled rotten.

Denver Post had it on sports front Saturday morning. Mostly inside sports since then. Until this morning, when it was bottom of 1A.

bottom sports saturday am
top sports Monday pm (not sure why, but I wasn't working)
right rail story tuesday pm, plus a mention in my column
Ferguson column wednesday pm ...
Wilbon colum thurs ... news took the mea culpa
And in Friday sports, we are a Tiger-free zone!!

Prenup renegotiation and 3rd mistress to come forward didn't get a mention?

The newsies want it this day, they can have it. On top of a slew of early-season basketball and soccer, it was MMA night at the local casino, plus Thursday night NFL and college football (and damn the BCS, I still treat the Rose Bowl with some reverence). For Saturday (assuming I get some sleep), football playoffs get the big play, and then World Cup draw for anchor. Barring calamity, and considering news side's needs, anything new will go inside.
