It hit me while watching the Padres-Rockies game at Petco Park the other night that it's always interesting to hear what songs batters choose to have played as they make their way to the plate for their at-bat.

If you had the opportunity to enter the playing field, ice or court to a song, what would it be?

I'd likely have some kind of snippet from a Rush song or an instrumental from one of my guitar favorites such as Joe Satriani or Steve Vai.

Yours?

"Rock And Roll" by Stevie Nicks.

"It's been a long time since I rock and rolled/It's been a long time since I did the Stroll/Ooh let me get back, let me get back, let me get back/Baby where I come from, ooh yeah."

Still deciding ... the finalists:

"YYZ" - Rush
"Leave That Thing Alone" - Rush
"Behind The Lines" - Genesis
"Superstition" - Stevie Wonder
"Mars" (from "The Planets") - Gustav Holst

The "A NEW CAR" music from The Price Is Right.

If you strike out, does their "You lost, you failure!" music play you back to the dugout?

I think we've done this thread before. I'll stick with From out of Nowhere by Faith No More.

That, or 2001 If I can also Woooooooooooooo! And wear a sequin robe.

The Theme from "Gettysburg" works for me. Though if I was a middle reliever eating innings when my team's down 8 runs it might not be as effective.

Mine would either be Green Day's "Basket Case" or Jackie Davis' "Mañana (Is Soon Enough for Me)."

Vince McMahon's entrance music is pretty good too.

Having thought about this for all of a minute, I think "Desire" by U2 would be pretty good.

Any song by Rage Against The Machine would work for me.
