****, forgot one thing ... I'll also buy a lot of drugs from Inky.

My retirement plan is to be the cart and club-cleaner guy at a local golf course, but it can't happen yet. I don't have enough in retirement funds, and none of the current old guys have died off retired yet.

On a serious note, i've been saving for an engagement ring, my little ring fund. but until things turn around in the job climate, that money is looking more like a just-in-case-Grifter-gets-layed-off fund.

I'm glad I saw the writing on the wall before the summer and already applied for grad school and the needed grants. I'm getting a masters in computer science. While I'm doing that, I'm going to be working a local car dealership and stringing for the local paper during football season.

I just the cuts could've come in May, so I could have started school now.

I love hats.

I'm going to sell Tommy Bahama shirts, on the off chance that the Christmas demise is wrong.

I'm going to move to Montana. So I can get quality fabric, craft supplies and drugs. This crap down here in Texas sucks.

The guy I sit next to used say he was going to be a cart collector at Costco. We would all laugh. Now he says it and nobody laughs.

Then there’s Michael Precker, fifty-two. For years, he wrote features. Before that, he was the paper’s Middle East bureau chief. Now Precker is a day manager at The Lodge, an upscale Dallas gentlemen’s club, making sure no one harasses the pole dancers. “If you’re going to leap out a window,” he says, “you might as well have a mattress.”

Too bad he didn't drop the first 'r' from his last name. That would be very appropriate for a gentlemen's club. ;)
