I think golf, especially with Woods, may be more popular, but Landis' story is pretty good -- what do you all think?

Strange as it seems, this is a day both would share the top of the fold. Two big American victories. Both accomplished on foriegn soil. GOD BLESS AMERIKKKA!!!!!

Landis is right in my backyard ... and Woods is still the story.

Floyd's day was yesterday. This was window-dressing.

It's Tiger in every paper across the country with the possible exception of Landis' hometown...

It's cycling and it's not Cancer Boy, so who cares?

beautifully put. 8) 8) 8)

Just because I care about cycling doesn't mean I would give Landis bigger play than Woods.

It'd be a pretty easy call, in fact.

Woods gets a massive centerpiece treatment and Landis is either across the top four inches deep or down the right rail.

If Levi had won, the Tour might, might mind you, have been the centerpeice being that he's from 2 hours away and nobody from Montana ever wins anything.

If I had my druthers today, it would be Tiger. However, I'm under orders to make minor league baseball the package. GACK!

Consider yourself uninvited to Vegas.
:P

Come on, ask a serious question.
Tiger Woods is the single biggest name in American Sports. What Madonna was to entertainment, Tiger is to sports.

Not since Babe Ruth carried an entire sport on his back has a single player so dominated both the sport and the nation.

And you just have to run a photo of Tiger crying ... and crying ... and Elin consoling him ... while he cries.

:)

Is Elin naked in the photo?

Tour soft strip at the top. Tiger is lead hed/display. Unless you're the Riverside paper (core market where Landis lives) or eastern Pennsylvania (where Landis is from).
No-brainer.

Sitting Bull begs to differ.

Landis is the centerpiece in most of Pennsylvania. Everywhere else, it's Tiger.
