Now I'm picturing a massive CBS crossover where that guy's serial killer gimmick is kidnapping and torturing famous mystery writers.

The team from CSI investigates the crime scene in Vegas, the ones from FBI and Criminal Minds do the investigation, NCIS gets in on the act because the guy served in the Navy, and then they find out he took her to Los Angeles so SWAT saves Jessica, makes the collar, and wraps it up.

Does Matt Dillon figure in any of this? It wasn't murder every week, but "Gunsmoke" aired for 635 episodes, running from 1955 to 1975.

"Murder In Paradise" is a show we like. But, yeah, laid-back Caribbean island of Sainte Marie where somebody gets killed every week.

I was thinking John Munch has a shot at this between his time on Homicide, SVU and various other incarnations.
