Years ago I worked for a hard ass boss who I was convinced was going to rip me a new one for a mistake I made on a report that I couldn't correct and resend before he saw it.

Instead he told me something I have never forgotten:

"There's a reason they put erasers on pencils. People make mistakes."

In this vein, always do the thing that takes a little more effort because you’ll probably end up in a situation where fewer people are willing to do it, so you end up in the presence or wake of conscientious people.

I alway walk to the farthest urinal or stall.
