Wally is one of the few TV kids who went through puberty on tv and was cool throughout.

Beaver was so awkward as a 12 year old, it made it hard to watch.

admission: i remember watching the show in the early '60s and have been catching the reuns ever morning on tvland -- and i'm still stumped on why 'theodore' became 'The Beaver.' help, anyone? ??? ??? ???

It was revealed in the last episode that when Wally was young he could not pronounce "Theodore." What he said sounded to Ward and June like "Beaver."

Fav episode of all-time is when Beav spends his haircut $$ on ice cream and Wally has to give him a haircut which forces the two to make up a club where they cannot remove their hats for any reason.

And five years after that, The Beatles recorded "Love Me Do," their first song together.

Mine's the one where The Beav ends up atop a smoking billboard.

Tony Dow has been carving out a new career, as a sculptor with pieces that have shown at numerous venues, including what is arguably the world's premier art museum — the Louvre in Paris.

Yeah, wasn't it a bowl or something on top?

The supporting cast deserves props. Ken Osmond, Frank Bank and Richard Deacon all gave me many laughs.
