is on ESPN Classic right now. Is there any other movie about high school wrestling? And is this one worth watching from the beginning? I've actually never seen it.

I remember watching that movie with a buddy in my basement when I was like 17 and there was some scene where Matthew Modine said something to Linda Fiorentino and my friend made some kind of typical teenage male sexist comment. Unbenownst to us, my dad was at the steps and right on cue said "Is that right?" or something to that extent, which both scared the hell out of us and slightly embarrassed us at the same point.

That's about the extent of the movie that I remember, except for that Madonna video.

The panty-sniffing scene is one of the most uncomfortable to watch in any movie ever.

Also one of the funniest.

The World According to Garp wasn't entirely about wrestling, it might have had a wrestling scene in it, I can't remember.

That was frickin' awesome! That song starts up (ba dum dum, ba dum dum) and he starts getting warmed up for his big match, then he bursts through the doors and the music and the crowd and the song YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Missed Vision Quest, yesterday, but was channel surfing at one point and saw All The Right Moves on CMT. Exactly what "country" element is there in that movie? Anyone that can clue me in on that, feel free.

Not sure what it is, but those 80s teen sports movies had a grittiness to them that more recent similar films (Varsity Blues, Remember the Titans, etc.) don't have. Loved seeing All The Right Moves again. I know they shot in Johnstown, but it looks exactly like my hometown closer to Pittsburgh. And that Vision Quest opening sequence with Only The Young playing is classic stuff.

Great movie. Our coach took us to watch it the night before we wrestled in the state tournament my junior year. If only we would have wrestled in front of crowds for dual meets like they had in that movie.
