I really liked the season 2 finale ...
* Antoine finally realizes that he's gotten a little too big-headed for his own good, which was probably a good thing. He's talented, but insufferable as a band leader.
* I thought they did a great job with Sonny and the shrimp boat guy, very understated and well done. They could have set up some sort of awkward confrontation where Sonny had to ask the father's permission to date Linh, but instead, went with a sort of wink-wink, nod-nod sort of thing over a beer at the bar. I don't know how Simon and Overmyer have made me like Sonny, but they have. I couldn't stand the sonofabitch in season 1. But he's grown.
* The Abreu thing really went nowhere, but used as a vehicle for Colson to start to uncover the depth of corruption within the NOLA PD, it was effective.
* Sofia's line ... I'll always love him. But I can't forgive him. ... Perfectly delivered.
* Of course, Janette and Jacque get together, and of course she'll come back to NOLA and make him her sous chef. This has disaster written all over it.
* Really nice to see Albert actually look happy for once, and happy to see Delmond realize that he belongs in NOLA.
* All of the lessons Harley imparted about songwriting starting to hit home for Annie at Jazz Fest. Pretty neat that she came to that realization in the middle of a set.
* All in all, good season. Slow at times, but a pretty good payoff in the end. Looking forward to season 3.
