I had my tonsils out when I was 5. I always thought it was a common thing to have them removed.

That's interesting. Because no one in my family has their tonsils out, and we were forbidden to associate with anyone who did.

I had mine out at 6. It used to be a common thing becuase it was believed tonsilitis in adults could become serious.
Now, who knows.
My advice to chick is get them damn tonsils taken out. You'll be better for it.

I think they've gone back and forth with the tonsils thing over the years.

Last time I had tonsillitis a few years ago they said they don't take them out anymore now, except in real severe cases.

Though you getting this angers me. I always figured since I never had my tonsils out that meant I'd never have to have them out, but you are older than me and apparently there is a chance now.
