Wonder if the Darryl Grant cited in the article the same dude who played for the Washington Redskins in the '80s? Guess it could be a common name so maybe it isn't.

OK, for once I'm going to go ahead and say spend the extra money.

Did Darryl Grant of the Washington Redskins enjoy sex?

Um, that's a good question. I got his autograph in 1988 or so when I was a teenager. Still have the penant somewhere that he, Charles Mann and Brian Davis signed!

I should've asked him. But I didn't.

I'm just trying to narrow it down.

Renting a hotel room for less than 12 hours is a crime? I wonder if that was a hotel employee renting it out who got busted?
Or was it the renter???

See, cornfields could have prevented this crime!

Really, too, is this below minimum wage? They're getting $5. I doubt their work takes more 30 minutes. That's a $10 hourly rate at least.

If the hooker is making less than minimum wage, you have to tip.

Wonder if the Darryl Grant who played for the Redskins was a good tipper.

I wonder if he was good in The Client.

I wonder if he is a leper, because if so, she can keep the tip.

Not to allow stereotypes to do the work for me, but given the name, I would imagine he was the hotel proprietor. I'm sure you can check in and check out again less than 12 hours later. He's just not allowed to then rent that room to someone else the same night.

In other words, he can't charge by the hour.

Is anyone positive that the cops didn't botch the investigation and accidentally arrest a bunch of fast food workers?

1) What the police define as sex and what we define as sex are likely two different two-backed beasts. Five bucks for a handjob may still be low when you've got NYC costs of living, but in Birmingham, it could pay the bills quite easily.

2) The police have a stake in estimating a lower "going-rate" if they're getting quoted in the paper and want to discourage prostitution. Though it's called "unusual," there's one example of an actual transaction price in this article: $100.
