As for Nugent's comments, he should be viewed, regardless of your political affiliation, as a hypocritical asshole. He screeches about family values, and has 10 kids, most out of wedlock. He screeches about the military and kicking everyone's asses yet he got deferments to avoid serving in Vietnam. If you're a Republican, you should want nothing to do with him. If you're a Democrat, he provides you an easy opportunity to shoot fish in a barrel (of which he'd probably approve) every time he opens his mouth.
