I ran into the Norwich City club shopping at the Nike Employee Store today. They lost a friendly to the Timbers last night. The players and staffers I spoke with were unbelievably friendly and happy to talk football. G Carlo Nash is big, and was walking around the store in bare feet, which I thought was funny.
I also saw Robert SNODGRASS!! but did not recognize him until I got home and looked at their roster on their home page. I did not realize that Grant Holt had signed with Wigan, to be closer to his family.
Anyhow it was neat and they did not big-time anyone, probably because 99 percent of the people in the store had no idea who they were. I really wanted to at least say hello to Chris Hughson but he was not there yet.

With that said, Klinsmann hasn't (and probably won't ever) be known for his in-game decisions or tactics. This is also a game the USMNT should not lose, even without its manager.

Landon Donovan deserves MVP ... but man, Beasley is really growing into a solid, reliable player. I thought his international career was history. Now he's going to be a starter in next year's World Cup.

The missed sitter by EJ would have been the prettiest goal that we would have scored in years. EJ spent too much time with the ball at his feet, and he needed to get rid of it quickly.
Landon was very good, if not great.
Feel terrible for Holden, even though Mix was the better player this tournament.
I still don't like Beasley in defense.
