This guy is 26. Tyson was already a has-been by that age.

One thing that made Tyson near-mythical back then was that he was (supposedly) unbeatable at 19 or 20.

According to Yahoo, maybe ...

http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news?slug=ki-valero121407&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

From what I saw on youtube, he's really raw and his technique needs some work. But he's a headhunter who throws big shots. Reminds me of a pint-sized Clubber Lang, sans mohawk.

No 130 lb munchkin fighting as a super Featherweight should ever be called the "the next Mike Tyson." Tyson's mythological status in the late 80's had a lot to do with the perception that he was the baddest ass who could kick any other man's ass in the world. Valero's only the baddest ass amongst the world's pituitary-challenged freakishly-small male population.

Exactly - by 26 Tyson had knocked out Holmes and Spinks, become undisputed champ, lost to Buster Douglas, married and divorced Robin Givens, and had been convicted of rape. (He had also been granted an honorary doctorate by Central State University, which I'm guessing they would like back.)

He was done by 24. Everything after that was a train wreck.

If that's the same Central State I saw play women's basketball last night (out of Ohio?), then their women's program matches the idea of giving Tyson an honorary degree: ****ty.

With 2 minutes left in the game Central State had 30 points and 29 turnovers. Gawdawful

That's the one. His doctorate is in "Humane Letters."

What the **** is "Humane Letters"?

In this case, I assume it means you can name all of the letters of the alphabet.

Well, OK, most of the letters.

Well, OK, most of the letters.

Even that's not believable with Tyson.
