Ask/answer.
First order of importance……the largest beer available.
Go.

Not sure yet.
Started tab.
Told barkeep that I wanted the largest blue moon they had……if they had to wheel out the keg, then wheel er out.
They could be $400 a piece and I wouldn’t care right now.

Update.
2 large blue moons here was $26 after tip.
Decided to grab a deal of nachos and a large modelo since they moved my gate to the other side of the world. I’m at some place called Cantina, and it was $31
Nachos
Big can of beer.

He enjoyed one for you. He looks like Rodgers' third cousin from Oshkosh.

Hope you're on expense account.

OTOH, my monthly SSI check hit today. Had no problem forking over $10 for a beer at the local college baseball game. Why be mostly retired if you can drink on a sunny March afternoon at the ballpark?

I know I'm late, but keep your shoes on and don't take your blade out of your bag!

I still have this bedrock principle rooted in the year 2004 that I won’t pay double figures for a beer. I’ve paid $9 all the time at baseball games. I’ll pay way more than that for a cocktail. But I refuse to go up to $10 for beer. At some point I’ll accept inflation as a normal part of life, but not yet.

I remember when I got over the mental block of paying $10 for a meal that wasn’t in a nice restaurant in the early 2000’s. That was a hurdle, too.

Back in my traveling (and drinking) days, I’d usually have to fly out early in the morning. So I’d get to the airport by 6 am to tie a load on before getting on the plane.

It feels like the last place on Earth where it’s perfectly acceptable to be drunk at sunrise.

Good for mind-weary people to rest their eyes on the plane.

I read that in his voice

Make your layover in Denver, Detroit or Chicago next time.

I had a three-hour layover in Detroit in January. They have CASINO gambling on your phone. I made about $700 over three hours, relatively risk-free, playing baccarat.
