The Economy

At some point, "fewer immigrants in the country to buy stuff" is going to cause a dip in all kinds of numbers from previous years --- that will have little to do with the economy.

It's already playing a big role in the number of jobs needed to be created to keep the unemployment rate from climbing. It used to be about 140,000. Now it's less than 100,000.

Never ever has “fewer people” not also resulted in “decrease in economic activity.”

I wish unenthusiastic MAGA voter had taken five minutes to consider history.

I meant that the lower numbers aren't an "economic fundamentals" problem.

Just as the historical low birth rate isn't.

Company A may be selling less stuff, but it's not necessarily because people can't afford it. There's just fewer people to sell to.

Tennessee Valley having the day it voted for. This will teach the damn Canucks to rake the forest!

Alabama Cooperage, formerly Jack Daniels Cooperage, is closing its doors.

The barrel-maker’s parent company, Independent Stave Company, confirmed the plant will close on Sept. 14.

The permanent closure will mean the elimination of more than 70 jobs, according to a memo from the company.

They should just saw the leftover barrels in half and make planters out of them. Might be able to sell them for at least $70, or at least until the end of the season when they'll go on sale.
