Many, I'm certain.
It still stands - at least to me, it seems - the average European is more able to "go on holiday" than the average American family is to take a nice vacation.

I feel like I know plenty of people who have taken more than one international vacation.

I am at zero trips outside of the US and doubt I ever make the money needed to change that. But I don’t think we are lacking in well-off people who can pay up. For that matter, we’ve had pretty good representation at other World Cups.

That's why I added the per capita caveat.
I just think back to my days at the paper where I actually got up to three weeks vacation each year but never actually got to take it... and they certainly didn't pay you for what got wiped off the books each Dec. 31. Of course if I did take vacation, that meant I wasn't working 60 hours a week and therefore couldn't afford to go on a vacation.

And, Aldi is extremely underrated. Their produce is great, and their prices are a modern miracle.

The company a tailgate buddy of mine works for was bought out by a European corporation. He now gets six weeks of paid vacation. I don't know that it puts more money in his pocket enabling him to go overseas but it certainly opened up his vacation options.

Wait 'till they downsize and consolidate, then he'll get 52 weeks a year!

Gonna be hard to the MAGATs to deny inflation is real when their SSI benefits get a 5% bump.

Grocery units, which refer to individual items or products sold, fell 1.8% in June from a year earlier, a sharp reversal from the 0.1% year-over-year growth recorded in June 2025. While prices continue to rise about 2% to 3% year-over-year, that inflation cushion for the industry is no longer enough to keep overall sales growing.

At some point, "fewer immigrants in the country to buy stuff" is going to cause a dip in all kinds of numbers from previous years --- that will have little to do with the economy.

It's already playing a big role in the number of jobs needed to be created to keep the unemployment rate from climbing. It used to be about 140,000. Now it's less than 100,000.
