The Athletic rates the top 10 G6 stadiums

I read the title and thought “Rankings for how easy it is to get to a stadium by private plane?” Might be time for some caffeine.

App State's stadium has been great for years. Pick the right day - late fall when the leaves are really turning - and there are few better places to watch a game. I once covered a FCS playoff game in the snow there. Loved it.

Good list. Air Force should be in the top 10. Canvas (Colorado State) is really nice (three high school state championships will be there on Saturday).

Michie Stadium is indeed awesome. View from the press box is terrific when the leaves in the Hudson Valley are turning.

The best stadium in FCS — Washington-Grizzly Stadium at Montana — is a 15-minute walk from the best barbecue place in Missoula.

Top that.
Texas' DKR used to be 15 min. walk from John Mueller's BBQ place on Manor Rd. Tortured genius of 'cue unfortunately was a terrible businessman (and is now deceased).

The only rankings that matter are how far the stadium is from a Waffle House.
0.9 miles from Fifth-Third Stadium to the Waffle House whose sign you can see at night from the campus green at Kennesaw State. Our president used to hold office hours there.

Not G6 obviously but the Waffle House on the Strip in Tuscaloosa is 0.3 miles from the Walk of Champions plaza in front of Bryant-Denny.

15 and 16 don't give a squat about Waffle House.

Whattaburger is their god.

This is on the bucket list. I’d heard they were doing some construction that would diminish the view? Still probably better than 90 percent of the others.

Respectfully, Notorious P.I.G. isn't among the top-five selling points as to why Washington-Grizzly should be on everyone's football bucket list!

The construction is on the Hudson River side (east). The new grandstand/press box will block much of the spectacular eastern view of the west grandstand.

Still, it's a great venue, especially on an early-fall Saturday. And Army generally starts home games at noon, another plus.
