COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The attorney for Ohio State’s Terrelle Pryor says the quarterback won’t return for his senior season with the Buckeyes. ¶
Columbus lawyer Larry James says his client would most likely make himself available for an NFL supplemental draft. ¶
Pryor had already been suspended for the first five games of the 2011 season for accepting improper benefits from a Columbus tattoo-parlor owner. The NCAA is looking into all aspects of Ohio State’s once-glittering program, from cash and tattoos to players, cars and other potential violations. ¶
Pryor’s announcement comes just eight days after Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel was forced to resign for knowing about the players’ improper benefits. ¶
The Cleveland Plain Dealer first reported Pryor’s announcement. ¶

Terrelle Pryor played fast and loose with the system that is in place, whether you agree with the system or not.

I don't have a problem with him leaving early, nor am I surprised he did.

However, he knew the rules when he signed up and decided they didn't apply to him.

He'll get his money but he better save it because he'll only get one contract.

Stop it already. One study I saw showed that the value of a football scholarship, in terms of tuition, room, board, medical care, food, nutrition and fitness assistance, travel, etc. is worth about $40,000 -- if these twerps care to use that to their advantage and get a degree. They're not impoverished slaves. Oh, and did I mention Pell Grant money for low-income kids?
