Great, great Chris Hanson spoof....

Paulson awful again.

Asner and Weber come up big.

Loved the New Orleans bit at the end. The musician, for those who care, was Trombone Shorty. He's absolutely ridiculously good. He's only 20 years old and is thought already as a musical genius. Heard his set at this past year's JazzFest, it was tremendous.

Good episode.

"I've been married twice, I'm a recovering cocaine addict . . . and I know that doesn't sound good, but . . . "

All while Jordan has a wad of sandwich in her mouth the size of a Goose Gossage chaw.

A great, great scene.

West Wingers, BTW, will remember the "O Holy Night" touch tonight from the Whiffenpoofs in Season 4's "Holy Night" episode. Back then I couldn't imagine anyone doing the song better. Tonight, it was better.

That Dateline spoof was the best sketch they've done on the show by far. Solid effort tonight, I feel like Michael Corleone... every time I think I'm done with this show, it pulls me back in.

Yeah, I enjoyed that spoof as well. If only the real SNL could be that creative.

Excellent episode. Maybe the best thus far.

And the musical performance was absolutely beautiful.

I don't know if I'm just getting sappy as I get older, but that was one of the most moving things I've seen on TV, maybe ever. For all of Sorkin's misses, and there have been several with this show, this was was like a 600 foot homerun. Tears. Real tears. It's amazing what music can do, isn't it?

Thomas Schlamme is the guy who made it happen, apparently. Check out the story:

Every week I think the same thing: "How can nobody be watching this show?"

And the Dateline spoof gave me probably my biggest laugh in a month.

I feel like this show has been looking for its moment. Y'know, the Sorkin moment, the "You can't handle the truth!" moment, the "I am the Lord thy God" Bartlet moment. I think it just had it. God damn, that was fantastic.

Hey, one of the best Ed Asner scenes since "I hate spunk!"
And Trombone Shorty is a damn genius.

I watched this for the first time last night, but only caught the last half hour. Even though I didn't know any of the characters or much about the storyline, that song at the end caused my eyes to leak.

Having said that, I would have really liked to have seen a little less focus on the romantic relationships. I know you have to try and appeal to the masses, but I felt as though I was watching a chick flick.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Asner's still got it, at least in small doses. And Sorkin may be known for that fast, back-and-forth dialogue, but his ability to make speeches like the one Asner made work is one of the things that keeps me coming back to watch anything he writes.

I really felt like I was seeing the show hit its stride last night. I just hope it doesn't get too bogged down in the Matt-Harriet and Danny-Jordan stuff. I loved the way they played it last night. I laughed out loud when Matt planted one on Harriet and I smiled all through Danny's speech with Jordan. Moments like that are entertaining. The question is where do you take it from there.

By the way, is the show off next week? If so, when is it back on?

Nobody that ******* ran out of onions by the time he hit my house. But the sumbitch turned the heat off, because I got chill bumps.

I went there and it said 'video not found.' I clicked on parts 1-5 and it wouldn't play.

It's only $2.

Wouldn't suggest it, there's an ad at the top of the page that keeps flickering, thought it was going to give me a seizure.

Wow. I'll echo everyone else's thoughts ... excellent show and probably best yet. The Dateline spoof had me rolling, especially the spot-on Chris Hanson impression.

Weber's character continues to grow on me, and I like his interaction with Jordan as of late.
