Anyone going to see this?

My daughter's been begging to go. Not a surprise, because they've been marketing the hell out of it to young kids (my kid likes the burping baby jabba.)

I haven't had time to research this and won't for a while, but has anyone seen it yet who would know whether it's kid appropriate? I know it's PG and my daughter's almost five.

My 11-year-old saw the previews and said he had no interest. FWIW

I dunno. I love Star Wars, but I can't imagine what it would take to get me in a theater to see this (maybe a Jedi mind trick).

As for content, the previews look mild enough. If you don't mind sitting through it, I don't think this would be too damaging for a child.

This movie will be the bloodiest George Lucas abortion ever. And he really raised the bar with Episodes I, II and III.

Someone should just kill him now before he ruins it anymore.

LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA!!!!!!
This movie is NOT happening!!!!!
LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA!!!!!!

<Trying to convince myself the previews I'm seeing aren't real>

I already tried that. It didn't work.

Have you seen it?

I have little desire to see it, to be honest.

I thought this was originally planned as a weekly TV series. Or am I thinking of something else?

You're thinking of "Saved by the Force," which was to take place when Luke Skywalker was in high school, but was canned because it tested poorly across all demographics. In fact, just one individual thought it was good.

It's scoring a whopping 27 percent on Rotten Tomatoes ... 22 of 30 reviews negative.

I'm going to read a few.

pretty sure they hope to use this to launch a TV series.

No, you're not thinking of something else.

I haven't. No desire to throw any more money down his chinless maw. But I talked with a guy who saw it and he said it's not for the young kiddies.

I love Star Wars. I was at the midnight shows for all prequels, and I'll defend them (other than Attack of the Clones) quite loudly.

I will see this movie, mainly because of the fact that on the big screen it might look neat and be a nice two-hour diversion.

But I wish they would have left well enough alone. The series is over. Let the losers . . .errr . . . people who have time and interest in further adventures read the (mostly non-canon) books. Stop making movies.

But again, I'll see it, so: BBAAAAAAAAAA! BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I'm a frackin' sheep. Mucas has me hook, line and sinker. Woe is me.

If not for the young kiddies, then who the hell for?
