Springsteen squashes breakup rumors

Should that be quashes? Probably not, after looking at one dictionary, but this usage of squash always confounds me.

Other than the money thing, I think that it would stink. Your entire home state is filled with grown men (and women) between the ages of 25-55 who worship your father in an unnatural way. You can't go out as a family without everyone staring at you. It's got to be pretty tiring. His daughter does some sort of horse jumping thing and there are always stories in the press about her.

Yes, there were pictures of all five 'steens with various cast members. A very nice, normal looking family actually. One with lots of ****ing money!
