If you have a working knowledge of sports and a passion for designing visually exciting newspaper sports pages, an excellent career opportunity awaits you at the Paxton Media pagination hub in Owensboro, Ky.
We have an immediate full-time opening, with benefits package, for a sports paginator.
We offer the successful candidate the opportunity to gain experience by working on multiple publications produced in the hub, as well as career advancement. The pagination hub produces 13 daily papers throughout the southeast, as well as multiple weekly papers and special publications and magazines.
We're looking for someone who combines a passion for sports with a strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign. Successful candidates will also have strong English skills, with the ability to write headlines and edit stories. The successful candidate must be capable of implementing rules based on the Associated Press stylebook as well as local design guidelines. An emphasis on accuracy and meeting deadlines is required.
Candidates with journalism or English backgrounds, along with newspaper design experience, are preferred, but candidates with a graphic design background and strong InDesign skills will also be seriously considered.
