They play teasers to the new season of this show during Rescue Me commercials.

Never seen it, but the show looks damn good.

Can anyone fill me in on what I'm missing? I may have to buy the first season.

Biker gang that controls a small town in Northern California. It's supposedly loosely (obviously) following the Hamlet storyline and created by one of the producers from The Shield.

I watched last season and enjoyed it. I didn't see every episode so I was pretty lost during some episodes, but I liked what I saw when I did watch. I might buy the first season, too.

Season 2 opens with Aryans (Adam Arkin and Henry Rollins) showing up and raping Gemma. This might get a bit ugly.

Season 1 was great, and last night's episode didn't skip a beat. The final 4-5 minutes ... talk about sucking you and in guaranteeing you won't miss next week.

DAMN

I'll give it another day before posting any thoughts on the show in case there are others that haven't seen it yet. If you haven't seen it, I suggest you do.
And I'll say again ...
DAMN, DAMN

That show rawks. I didn't see the first season, but I think I'll take some time and catch up.

In a way, the show is a complete reversal of The Shield, instead of cops who don't play by the rules, these are criminals who do live by a code.

So now the crew is getting into the porn business and getting into the middle of a gang war between the 19ers and the BizLats. Wait a second, this is exactly like The Shield.

I love this show.
I don't get Clay's logic behind bitching at Jax for making the Mayan hit look like the 9ers did it. He said it sparked a war between them. I'm kinda thinkin if Jax had left the big A on the guy's stomach, it would have been SAMCRO in a war with the Mayans.

Damn, I didn't watch Season 1, and I have about 8 episodes on the DVR that I just started watching. The first few episodes of this season were great. I am officially addicted to this show, and Katey Sagal is outstanding.

I just started watching this season and I love it (Kurt Sutter is twisted.). The reason I didn't watch last season and the problem I still have is a casting thing. I don't buy Ron Perlman as Clay. I try not to let it affect my enjoyment of the show, but it does.

I didn't know Ron Perlman before this show, that I know of, and I have no problem with the casting of him. And I love Dayton Callie, who plays the cop and was fabulous in Deadwood.

Google the 80s TV show "Beauty and the Beast" and you might see my problem. (Note: I didn't actually watch that show, but the commercials were cheese-tastic.)

Point taken. Guy has quite a list of appearances, but that might be the only show I remember him from. I never watched it either, but I remember that face. He seems to have done a ton of voice work.

Hell of an ending for the season - interesting seeing Kenneth Johnson (Lem from The Shield) show up as an out of town "Son" in for the brawl.

I think Katey Sagal is fantastic on the show. She might be the most underrated actress in TV with three shows on her resume with at least 70 episodes, in addition to "Sons."

It stinks we have to wait until next September. I love this show. The ending was good. Sutter said in an interview it set up a trip to Belfast for the crew.

So the Sons are going to hook up with some IRA guys? That could be classic. Molotov cocktails vs. chains and brass knuckles.

I loved watching this show this season. I still haven't seen season 1 - damn Netflix and it's "Very Long Wait" for disc 1. I'm really looking forward to watching it and then rewatching season 2 and knowing all the backstory (and being able to turn on the subtitles so I can understand what Chibs is saying).

As I mentioned upthread, I have a problem with Ron Perlman as Clay, but I think the rest of the actors are phenomenal, especially Katey Sagal.

As usual, Alan Sepinwall's blog posts on the show have been terrific and have really enhanced my enjoyment of the show.
