As I'm watching Reggie Dunlop and the boys mix it up, I see a couple faces I recognize from memorable guest shots on Law & Order.
Stephen Mendillo is one of the players on the Chiefs who 20-some years later has played four different characters in L & O between 1991 and '97.
Then I see the trainer and he seems familiar. I see the actor's name is Matthew Cowles, who did a memorable guest shot at "Lemonhead" -- a rather deranged character on L & O. I look him up and also see he's been married to Christine Baranski for just short of 25 years.
No other point to this post. Just found it interesting and thought some L & O fans might find it interesting, too.
And if you have Encore West, you can catch Slap Shot from the start beginning at 3:30 a.m. central time.
