Most of you are at least aware of SJrejects.com. Some of you post there as well. I've been a member off and on for a while. A while back, they banned me for a couple of years for no real reason. There have been far more contentious arguments here that don't result in even a brief suspension. I would look at it every few months, and suddenly, my account was working again. There was no warning or communication of any kind. They just disabled the account. The whole thing was bizarre and laughable.

I got into a mild disagreement with Batman over there today and thought nothing of it. They just banned me for five years, which is funny. Their entire premise was to be a lightly moderated board, a reaction to a few people being sent packing from this place, but snowflakes have to be snowflakes. I imagine this will lead to at least another five years on my sentence. lol

If the mods here want this gone, that's fine, but I thought it was too funny not to share.

Careful. Some of them still have their noses up against the glass here.

I did find a way to send a message asking for an explanation. This should be entertaining.

Searched my name there once. Lots of speculation about my identity....and criticizing my song parodies. How f*cking dare them!

I don't think it was wholly because of our disagreement. At least I hope it wasn't. I find your trolling act there annoying, but I'll try to punch back a bit like I did today when I think of something decent to say. Otherwise I'll just ignore you and wait for you to tire yourself out like a cranky 6-year-old.
Today, for example, I might have reposted that Braveheart clip a few more times and made a shtick of it, then gotten tired of doing it (or it became incredibly annoying in its own way), and we all move on to the next **** show.

In other words, I don't think our spat — if it even rose to that level — was worthy of a ban. Especially there. You've had much more heated exchanges with other posters there.
That said, you do have a history with a number of people there, so obviously someone with the power to hit the eject button on you finally had enough of it all.

Trolling is posting things you don't mean for the sake of starting a fight. I don't troll. I do call out people's nonsense, including yours, which you don't like. Thanks for confirming that the message I meant to send with this thread went through. Enjoy your echo chamber.

No one over there has mentioned it yet. So it hasn't gone through.
I'm sure we'll get it at some point, like a text someone sends 17 times when they don't have cell reception and then your phone beeps for the next half-hour once they step out of whatever bunker they're in.

I didn't mean the message I sent to their admin, of which there was only one. I meant making members who see both boards aware of the petty and hypocritical tantrum thrown by the power or powers that be over there.

I think it's kind of funny that we're 14 hours or so into this saga and there hasn't been one post about it over there. So either no one has noticed or no one cares.

I remember wasting precious time in my life trying to navigate the late 2000s board split because I had friends on both sides.

Now? I couldn't possibly give two ****s.

Though I will say that for the small percentage of valid reasons there were for various splits, there was a far larger reason to stay the course here.

The twin forces of ego and attention-seeking are powerful tonics. The people who started these boards couldn't resist it and had to have their day.

Pretty soft in hindsight, but also a fascinating study in how large communities can become fractured.
