And we have another mass shooting. Oak Creek, WI., just south of Milwaukee. At a Sikh Temple.

EARLY reports are 4 dead, 8-20 shot 20, hostages and shooter(s) on the loose.

I hate this world.

Ambulances lined up a couple of blocks from scene, indicating still an active situation.

Ah yes. We are not allowed to talk about gun violence in the wake of gun violence. We are only allowed to load up on firearms. Lesson of Aurora.

They can't control the temple and there are no hostages with knives.

What are the odds the gunman thinks he's shooting up Muslims?

We have had some Sikh violence in Canada, mainly on the West Coast, political rivalries from India that are still ongoing. I am curious to see if this violence is political or personal.

Officer responding to the scene shot the shooter in the parking lot. Sounds like that shooter is dead. Officer was hit several times, but in hospital. They do not know if there are other shooters in the temple or on the loose.

In briefing, it is revealed that an Oak Creek police officer was shot but did put down the shooter. The officer is expected to be OK.

Neither the Journal Sentinel nor Chicago Tribune have mentioned any fatalities yet. Is the four dead coming from Twitter or news organizations? Just curious about the source.

TMJ says shooter is still on the loose -- a white, balding male in a t-shirt. Four bodies under tarps in the parking lot.

SWAT team moving through the temple. Maybe looking for additional shooters but hopefully just securing the scene.

However, neighboring city police chief who gave the briefing, asked TV stations to not show any movements by tactical teams, so it seems they're still worried about additional shooters inside.

On a positive note, these shootings are almost always the work of one lone nut (Columbine being an exception), even though early reports almost always indicate there might be additional shooters. Hopefully there is no more harm being done.

Radio or TV? Because the tv report just showed the briefing where the Greenfield chief said a shooter was put down by the Oak Creek cop.

Briefing says four dead inside, three dead outside, including the perp.

With God as my witness... I didn't do it. (Just happened to be wearing a t-shirt.)

Milwaukee also had a work place shooting on Friday. Any connection here?

Guns were involved in both. Why this isn't a more pressing political issue than stuff like same-sex marriage is puzzling to me.

I think we all know why.

Because this is AMURICA! Freedom!

I would say more but I don't want to get handcuffed and jailed for leering into political territory.

I've learned not to trust speculative early reports from crime scenes, but if what I have read about the shooters is true, it makes me even more sick to my stomach than I already am.

Here's the latest ...

I drove by this temple last week (didn't know it, but I did) when I diverted myself off I-94 to get gas.

My thoughts go out to my hometown and the Sikh community in it. I'm sick about this.
