Law enforcement investigating the shooting canvassed several residences to the north of the deadly shooting and found that all but one -- Adams' -- had "suitable shooting backstops or firing locations," according to the affidavit. Deputies had also received information that Adams had received a Glock .45-caliber handgun for Christmas and that his neighbors had heard him shooting "about 20 rounds" Thursday afternoon, according to the affidavit.
