Just saw it.

Not impressed. Not a bad film, but clearly not even close to Oscar level. I'm sure it will do well at the Box Office thanks to Big Willie Style, but I really think they were trying way too hard.

Go ahead and spoil it for me. I want to know what the twist is.

Kind of beat me to it, Mizzou. I was thinking this was another Visanthe Shiancoe thread.

it was all a dream.

I used to read Word Up magazine
Salt'n'Pepa and Heavy D up in the limousine
Hangin' pictures on my wall
Every Saturday Rap Attack, Mr. Magic, Marley Marl
I let my tape rock 'til my tape popped
Smokin' weed and bamboo, sippin' on private stock
Way back, when I had the red and black lumberjack
With the hat to match
Remember Rappin' Duke, duh-ha, duh-ha
You never thought that hip hop would take it this far

That no one was talking about this movie as Oscar material should be enough to let you know what to expect. When it got some really bad reviews I read the plot on wiki. An interesting premise. Kind of like It's A Wonderful Life - but different.

I miss the days when nobody took Will Smith seriously, including and especially Will Smith.

Good work. First thing I thought of after I read the previous post.

I have no idea what those lyrics are. I feel good about that.

Juicy by Notorious BIG, classic song

Come on Rumple, finish the verse

Now I'm in the limelight cause I rhyme tight
Time to get paid, blow up like the world trade
Born sinner, the opposite of a winner
Remember when I used to eat sardines for dinner
Peace to ron g, brucey b, kid capri
Funkmaster flex, lovebug starsky
Im blowin up like you thought I would
Call the crib, same number same hood
Its all good

The hubby just asked me if I wanted that movie earlier today. I'd never heard of it until then.

Saw it today. It's OK. Kinda boring. Will Smith mopes around and flashes his smile for most of the movie. Figured out what he was going to do during one of the early scenes with Rosario.
