For those who wish to participate in SJ's holiday rite of passage, please send me your name (or handle) and mailing address you'd like the gift shipped to as well as suggestions on the kind of gift you'd like to receive.

We'll cap the gift amount at $25. I will send everyone their giftee by Nov. 27, which is a week from today. That gives everyone about three weeks to mail their gifts.

I'm afraid you're going to have to share the backstory here.

It's not for me, it's for someone who stayed at a ton of Residence Inns over the decades and loves this kind of ephemera, although I'm sure the person has some pretty interesting stories of staying at the Residence Inn in Gary and Wauseon and North Lima and Binghamton etc etc. Anyway, it is difficult to procure one of these directories.
